as a writer

i value self-reflection. writing is my outlet to purge my own traumas, truths and experiences so that i can invite bigger conversations of philosophy and human nature for my audience. my stories are emotional, silly and rhythmic because that is how i view the world. if there is any way i can make something poetic as all get out, i will.

as a director

i lead with the heart. i strive to know the essence of the script, the visions of my collaborators and the mechanics behind capturing the right moments; and then from there craft a story that is beautiful and guttural, and clear. alas, lest we forget to have fun during the process. i'm also determined to create a safe space for my team to play and explore on and off set, always and forever, because i believe that having a good spirit about the work makes for really special art.
